HOWL Book Character Parade

Our classroom was full of 'characters' this morning... 'book characters' that is!  It was Kincaid's Annual HOWL (Helping Ourselves With Literacy) Book Character Parade!

We had many great book characters show up for the big event...

Ally was looking incredibly 'Silverlicious'!

Kaden brought the book Z is for Zamboni and the necessary accessories and Tracilyn was dressed up as the owner of Biscuit (the beloved puppy from the popular chapter book series).

Zoe was all glammed up and looking 'Goldilicious' and Ethan came to school as the boy from the story Diary of a Wimpy Kid.

Jacob dressed up as character from one of the Geronimo Stilton chapter books and Jennifer dressed up as a soccer player from the book in which Tough Town hosts a soccer tournament.

Madison was looking very fancy in her purple polka dot top and sparkly silver shoes; she came as the character Fancy Nancy.  Kyla was dressed up as Tinkerbell in her favorite book Tinkerbell: A Fairy Tale.

Devlin decided to take Franklin along for the parade and held up a Franklin book he selected, Franklin Goes To The Hospital.  Samantha decided to take Lucky our class Leprechaun along for the parade and held up one of her favorite books, The Leprechaun Who Lost His Rainbow.

Quincy dressed up as a Star Wars character and Mae was 'Thing 1' from the Dr. Seuss classic The Cat in the Hat.

 Luke dressed up as a fire fighter, Irish dressed up as a fairy, and Elias carried our class mascot The Gruffalo around for the parade.

Christiana was Fancy Nancy and Calvin took Clifford along for the trip.

What a fun way to begin the day... celebrating books and our favorite book characters!
