Pumpkin Palooza

The month of October meant plenty of pumpkins and orange in our classroom!  

We read plenty of pumpkin books.

 

Our class participated in pumpkin centers with the other first grade classes.  We played a Roll-A-Pumpkin addition game, we made pumpkin puppets and learned The Five Little Pumpkins poem, and we played pumpkin bingo. 

 

We created symmetrical pumpkins like the one above.  

We learned how a pumpkin grows and created a book describing the different stages.

 

We did pumpkin math with our fourth grade buddy class. 

 

 What a 'pumpkin perfect' way to wrap up the month of October!
