The HOWL Book Character Parade

Every year at Kincaid we have our HOWL (Helping Ourselves With Literacy) Book Character Parade!

It is so much fun and it inspires students, teachers, and parents to get inspired to read by introducing them to new books and new book characters!

Our classroom was filled with many creative costumes...

 Jaeqwan loves to play football and read books about football!

 John is a super hero!  He loves to read stories about super heros!

 Arwen is dressed up as the character Kelly from the Barbie book 'Girl's Best Friend'.

 Camden is a pirate just like the characters in his book 'See Inside Pirate Ships'.

 Titus and Justin love to read exciting books about dragons!

 Sophia is dressed up as Morgan the Midnight Fairy!

 Jacob is the character Jack from the book series The Magic Tree House.

 McKenna is a Seahawks fan and she has her book, hat, and sweatshirt to prove it!

 Ali and Tana make pretty good Junie B's don't they?

 Logan was a cowboy character just like in his book Buffalo Bill!

 Rex came to school as Flat Stanley!

 Evan was dressed up as the American Girl Doll Saige and Hannah was dressed up as the American Girl Doll Felicity, and both girls brought their American Girl Doll books too!

 Ayla made a great Little Red Riding Hood!

 Lhevinn wore his baseball shirt and brought his baseball book!

 Katelynn resembled Splat the Cat!

 Oliver came as the Invisible Man from the book entitled The Invisible Man!

Mrs. Campbell was the Paper Bag Princess.  How could she have known there would be two dragons to defeat?
