Finally we made 100's day crowns!
At the beginning of the week we set a goal to READ over 100 books
together as a class. Every time someone read a book (at home or at
school) we created a new link in our chain. For every ten books read we
taped the chain up to the counter so we could easily keep track of how
many more books we needed to read. Friday we met our goal... we are at
125 books and counting!

We
also set a goal to WRITE 100 words. Each student contributed at least
five words to the collection and each student was given a category to
ensure there would be no duplicate words on the list.
What a wonderful way to celebrate the 100th Day of School!
