Eggs-Amination!

What have we been up to in First Grade? The answer is rather 'EGG-citing!'

We have been learning all about eggs!
We learned the parts of the egg and then made a diagram of the egg.
On the back of the diagram we described the important function of each part of the egg.
At the end of the week we conducted a hard boiled 'Eggs-amination!'
We looked closely at the hard boiled eggs with magnifying glasses and described the eggs using our five senses. Then we peeled the eggs and described them using our five senses again. Lastly, we tasted the eggs, added a little salt and pepper, and then tasted the eggs again.
We also learned a fun 'Peck, Peck, Peck' poem about a hatching chick and made our own hatching chicks to go with it.
What an 'EGG-cellent' way to wrap up our egg theme!
